BCM School, Chandigarh Road, organized Annual Award Ceremony to honor the high-achieving students of the academic session 2023-24. The event, held at the Mata Thakur Devi Auditorium, was graced by the presence of Lieutenant General (Dr.) K.J. Singh (Param Vishisht Seva Medal & Ati Vishisht Seva Medal awardee) as the chief guest.
The chief guest was accorded a warm welcome with a guard of honor and the traditional lighting of the lamp. The event was also attended by Shri Suresh Chandra Munjal (Trustee, BCM Foundation), School Manager Shri Prem Kumar, Principals of Sister Concerns, alumni, teachers, parents and other dignitaries.
Principal Mr. D.P. Guleria welcomed the distinguished gathering and presented a brief overview of the school's achievements and activities in the previous academic year. He applauded the award winners in various fields, including academics, Olympiads, sports, and inter/intra-school competitions.
187 students, including the NEET, JEE toppers, students who secured a perfect centum in any subject; received trophies from the Chief guest Dr. K.J. Singh. Over all Class and section toppers from classes III-X received Mahatama Satyanand Munjal Academic Excellence Trophies. Additionally, 12 consistent performers of class XI and 16 students of class X who scored above 95% marks received Rs.3600/- each. Two students, Ravnoor Singh and Nandini received Rs.7500/- each as encouragement for their start-up program.
Shri Suresh Chandra Munjal congratulated the winners and encouraged all students to strive for greater heights. The chief guest appreciated the award-winning students and motivated them to focus on three values in life namely – attire, communication and character. He also commended the parents for their role in their children's achievements.
The classical dances from Gujrat and Rajasthan presented by the school students captivated the audience. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the school manager Dr. Prem Kumar and the singing of the national anthem.
